As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for the building and development of business hours. You’ll build positive relationships in order to gain a better understanding of your client’s recruitment needs and requirements.

Working as a Recruitment Consultant you will be expected to keep up with the business development meaning from time to time you will be required to do cold calling clients for more work to match your candidates.

Responsibilities:

As a recruitment consultant, you’re the vital link between clients and candidates. The role is demanding and diverse. It involves:

  • using sales, business development, marketing techniques, and networking to attract business from client companies
  • headhunting – identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work and equally identifying potential clients who may already use another agency
  • building and increasing the branch’s hours in line with KPIs set by the Business Manager
  • attending networking events in order to increase branches’ status and reputation
  • visiting clients to build and develop positive relationships
  • developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do, their work culture, and environment
  • using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships
  • receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews, and creating a shortlist of candidates
  • ensuring all bookings are made and candidates are appropriately matched to clients
  • applying for candidate DBS, requesting references, completing all mandatory checks, and checking the suitability of applicants before introducing them to clients
  • working towards and exceeding targets and KPIs that may relate to the number of candidates placed, a value to be billed to clients, or business leads generated
  • reviewing recruitment policies to ensure the effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programs
  • communicated with internal and external office staff at head office to ensure the branch is running smoothly and effectively
  • take part in an emergency out-of-hours on-call (spread across office members)

Must Haves

  • Must have a full driving license and own transport
  • Attention to detail
  • Confident talking to customers and candidates
  • Full-time position working 9 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £20,319.00 per year
